One sunny morning, Curious George woke up feeling extra adventurous. He tiptoed past Ted, the Man with the Yellow Hat, who was still snoozing, and peeked out the window. A big red balloon was floating by! George’s eyes lit up with excitement. He grabbed his little backpack, stuffed it with bananas, and dashed outside to follow the balloon, giggling all the way.
Ted woke up and noticed George was gone. “Oh no, not again!” he chuckled, grabbing his yellow hat and heading out the door. He followed a trail of banana peels and tiny footprints through the park, past the bakery, and into the zoo. There, he found George sitting atop a giraffe’s observation deck, waving at the balloon that had landed in a tree. “George!” Ted called. “Let’s get that balloon together!”
With Ted’s help, George climbed carefully down and they used a long stick to rescue the balloon. The zookeeper clapped and gave George a sticker for being so brave. Ted smiled and said, “You’re always curious, George, but it’s good to have a buddy to help you out.” George hugged Ted and held the balloon tight. Together, they walked home, ready for their next big adventure.
